Michael Murphy focuses his practice
on civil litigation, concentrating in
business and commercial litigation, employment
law and personal injury law. He
also defends individuals charged with
criminal offenses.
Mr. Murphy began his legal career as
a prosecutor in the Suffolk County District
Attorney's Office. He served as
an Assistant District Attorney in the
Chelsea, Roxbury and West Roxbury courts.
He prosecuted thousands of cases and
has tried a significant number of cases
to juries.
Mr. Murphy brought his considerable
trial experience into private practice
in 1999. He has represented individuals
and businesses in many substantial cases,
as both plaintiff and defense counsel.
After graduating from Boston College
High School, Mr. Murphy obtained his
undergraduate degree from the University
of Massachusetts at Amherst and he earned
his Juris Doctorate at the Suffolk University
Law School. He is admitted
to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
and the United States District Court
for the District of Massachusetts.
